Biography

Rosa Aguilar holds a Diploma degree in Computer System Engineering from University Lisandro Alvarado in Venezuela. She holds two master’s degrees in Computer Science and Geoinformatics from University Simon Bolivar in Venezuela and the University of Twente in The Netherlands respectively.
Before joining ITC at the University of Twente as a PhD researcher, she worked as a Chief Technical Officer at the Geographic Institute of Venezuela.
Previously, she accumulated practical experience in Geographic Information System (GIS), remotely sensed image analysis, spatial database management and Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) implementation at the Institute of Engineering in Venezuela.
Rosa is interested in geospatial tools for supporting collaborative spatial processes and machine learning techniques applied to geospatial data.
